Our goal with Crooked Cabin was to build something that would showcase ways we can live with far less impact on the planet. This off-grid cabin nestled on the West Coast of New Zealand’s stunning South Island. Experience the serene beauty of nature at our cozy cabin overlooking a picturesque working farm, surrounded by regenerative native bush with the stunning Crooked River only a short walk away. Our goal was to build something that would showcase ways we can live with farless impact on the planet.

There’s plenty to see and do just metres away from the cabin door, the Crooked River is only 400m away, and boasts stunning clear blue water and great fishing. There is also a great hiking track just up the road.

Take in nature with a coffee in hand, listen to Tui, Fantail, Robin, and Tomtit singing in the surrounding regenerative native bush, while you take in the farm views and Mount Te Kinga.

The stunning Lake Brunner is only 12 minutes from the tiny home, with a cafe, pub and store, it’s a great service town, with next level views. Or take a detour and visit the beautiful Iveagh Bay or nearby Lady Lake.
